Set between the East Dorset villages of Woodlands and Horton there is much to see and do in the immediate area including castles and ruins to explore and country estates to wander around. Slightly further afield the metropolitan towns of Poole and Bournemouth with their vibrant shopping and nightlife are the perfect spots for those craving the hustle and bustle and of course the sandy beaches for those avid beach goers. For the keen golfer there is a golf club nearby and for those wishing to explore Dorset and the wider countryside the Jurassic Coast (designated as a World Heritage site) is definitely worth a visit. Play facilities: swing ball and basketball net. Outside: large shared garden area with lawn. Amenities: private off-road parking for 2 cars. Location: pub 2 miles village shop 4 miles Indian restaurant within walking distance sandy beach at Bournemouth 18 miles. Arrival: 3pm. The accommodation offers TWO bedrooms: 1 king-size double and 1 further king-size double with the option of having a small single bed (suitable for a child) added to this room if required. Bathroom: located on the ground floor with shower attachment on the bath separate shower cubicle and WC. Kitchen/breakfast bar: with electric oven and hob fridge/freezer microwave and dishwasher. Washing machine: located in utility cupboard in the hallway. Lounge/diner: cosy room with TV/DVD woodburner effect electric fire farmland views and access to private enclosed patio area. Outside: patio area with garden furniture. Amenities: 1 well-behaved pet welcome (the owners kindly request to be kept on a lead when outside on-site).

The county town of Dorchester, with its High Street lined with 17th and 18th Century houses, is little changed from Hardy’s day, while the pretty town of Shaftesbury has been used as a location in countless films set in Olde England.
